Amy's Story

Amy Gloria Stutz

Amy StutzMy husband Mike and I were married October 4, 1986. We wanted to have kids right away so we started trying to get pregnant. When two years passed and I wasn't getting pregnant. We decided to consult a Fertility Specialist. After all the tests were done, I was diagnosed with PCOS -Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. This means there are many tiny cysts on my ovaries and the chance of getting pregnant are very slim. Mike and I tried everything until we were told by the Doctor that the next step would be the IVF Procedure which as you know is quite expensive and doesn't always bring results. So, we decided to adopt. So, in March of 1994, our 1st miracle happened.

We adopted a baby from Seoul, Korea, whom we named Kimberly Elizabeth. We were now finally a family! So, on September 12th, of 2001, I went for my annual GYN appointment. Plus, I thought I was having weird symptoms that I was associating with getting older.

AmyTo my great surprise, I was told I was pregnant! Not just a little pregnant 26 to 28 weeks pregnant! I was in such shock that my husband Mike ended up calling all of our relatives and friends that night telling them I was expecting. To me, our 2nd miracle was becoming a reality, and except for me having high blood pressure and early signs of toxemia, Amy Gloria was born on November 21st, 2001 and weighed exactly 6 lbs.

She is now a happy two year old and enjoys being with her older sister, Kimberly. Who is just crazy about the little sister she thought would never come.

Miracles do happen.
