Andrew Lemoine

Andrew was due on October 8th 2003. However, Mom developed severe pre-eclampsia and hypertension and he had to be delivered at 26 weeks gestation (3 months early) on July 8th.  He weighed one pound fifteen ounces and was 13 1/2 inches long.  He was on a ventilator for two weeks and now at almost 10 weeks old is still in the hospital and needing oxygen therapy.  However he now weighs almost 5 pounds and is eating fairly well on his own. He has come a long way and has managed to avoid many of the problems commonly associated with preemies: such as eye problems and organ problem. We hope our wonderful and very strong little boy will soon be home with us.

Update:
Andrew came home 3 weeks ago and is doing wonderful. He is gaining 1/2 a pound a week average!
