Bobby's Story
We found out we were pregnant with Bobby on January 1st, 2002. My husband and I already had two daughters, so this time we were hoping for a boy.
On January 8th, 2002 I began bleeding heavily and was transported by ambulance to the ER. There I encountered a terrible doctor that roughly examined me and declared there was nothing he could do because I was "spontaneously aborting".
I was in shock. I knew this baby was my boy, and I couldn't bear the thought of losing him. They refused to call my OB (who I love dearly) or the Dr on call for her, and sent me to ultrasound to confirm the miscarriage was happening.
There we found a wonderful tech who was so careful and kind during the vag. ultrasound. She said that she wasn't supposed to show us anything, or tell us anything, but she turned the monitor around and there was his little heart beating away.
I was put on bedrest until the bleeding subsided, and on August 27th I gave birth by c-section to a 9 pound 11 ounce baby boy that we named Bobby.
He is my miracle baby, and I have always felt his angels present, all through my pregnancy and even now as he sleeps soundly in his crib just feet from my bed.
My son is proof that prayers do work.
