Caitlyn Mae Holmes

On July 7, 2005 my miracle came to me.  At 7 months into my pregnancy I had extremly high blood pressure and my doctor decided it was time for me to have my baby to save her life and mine. After 22 grueling hours of labor and no pain medication (I was allergic and they could only get the
epidural half way in) the doctor elected for a c-section.  At 8:30 on the 8 Caitlyn was born weighing in at 2lbs 7 oz, 3 pounds less than they estimated on the ultrasound.  Caitlyn was born perfect, she let out a good cry and when the doctors looked at her they couldnt believe that she didn't need oxygen.  Six weeks later Caitlyn had finally reached the magical 4 pound mark and the doctors finally let my bundle of joy come home with me.

At the age of 4 months Caitlyn was determined not to let being premature stand in her way, so she got her self up on all fours and started crawling. Caitlyn is now 7 months old(5 months gestational) and she is pulling herself up and walking if she can ho!  ld on to something.  She just won third place in a beauty contest and is into everything.  The doctors still cant believe how well she is doing.
Caitlyn Mae Holmes is truly my miracle baby.
