My husband and I tried to get pregnant for several years without success. One day in church, I felt God speak to me--"You will adopt a baby from China!" I didn't know anything about adopting from China, so I began to research it on the internet. We became so excited about the idea, and were convinced our daughter was waiting for us in China! Unfortunately, we learned that my husband and I were years too young to adopt a healthy infant from China. Now that I am a parent, I realize we would have been fine to adopt a special needs or older child, but at the time the idea was daunting. We researched other avenues for adopting, but nothing seemed right. We knew God wanted us to trust Him with our future as parents, so we waited.

A year later, we were reading the Sunday paper and discovered that China had changed their rules--we now qualified to adopt a healthy baby! Almost one year to the day later, our 8-month-old daughter was placed in our arms. By the hand of God, she made her way from an orphanage in rural China to our hearts and home. She is truely a miracle!
