On July 12, 2002, my husband and I gave birth to a very precious,  beautiful baby girl. She weighed only 3lbs 10ounces and doctors told us  there was something wrong from the beginning, however she looked perfect to us.

After a month long of testing on our precious baby girl, we were told the most devastating news that any parent could receive...our daughter Brianna was born with a rare genetic disorder called Zellweger syndrome and that it would take her life before she would turn 6 months old.

Devastated, we turned our lives to God in hopes of a miracle. Brianna suffered for many months, she wasn't able to eat on her own, keep her temperature, even move her little body was impossible for her..all part of the illness. Even more devastating we were told that my husband and I were carriers of the illness and had a 1 in 4 chance of having another child born with the same illness.

Sadly, on Oct. 2, 2002...just 10 days short of Brianna being 3 months old, our precious little girl passed away in my husband arms. It was the most  devastating day of our lives.

It was a blessing though, only months later to find we were expecting again. Terrified that we would have another ill baby, we scheduled the genetic testing while I was pregnant. Unfortunately, we never made it that far and On Feb. 19th, 2003 we miscarried Baby Jennings. Doctors told us it was probably genetic and we shouldn't try again.

We struggled by with life, both of us knowing that the chances of us ever having a child together was slim to none; so when we found out on Christmas eve 2004 that we were expecting again, we were both terrified of what could happen.

We decided that we would allow God to do what he was going to do and went ahead and scheduled the genetic testing...praying to at least make it that far in the pregnancy ..and we did. Then the wait, we waited over a month before we finally received a phone call from the doctor....the baby we were carrying was a "Mary Poppins" baby.. practically perfect in every way! Praise the Lord we couldn't be happier but the next several months proved to be trying as we had many ups and downs in the pregnancy...even at one point being told that we would most likely miscarry because of the difficulties I was having.

Well our miracle, our blessing baby, finally came to us. On August 23rd, 2005 I gave birth to the most precious gift God could give ..a healthy baby girl. We named her Kylie Mariah and we knew from the day she was born she was blessed. You see, our Brianna that passed away had an angel kiss on her forehead (a birth mark), well we all were amazed to see that Kylie too had an angel kiss on her forehead,... just like Brianna and we believe Brianna is in the heavens watching over her baby sister. =)
