Leo's Story

Leo Allen Robinson

We tried for 2 years to get pregnant ithout any luck. We wnt the IVF route and after 2 trys we got pregnant. At 7 weeks we had an ultrasound that revealed twins. The shock was that they were identical! At 19 weeks we found out we were having boys and that one of them had severe birth defects and wasn't going to make it. We also found out that they shared the same umbilical cord. That put the healthy baby at severe risk. They said he would most likely have severe handicaps. The advice was to abort. Zander died and by some miracle Leo sustained no damage. I went into premature labor and delivered Leo at 30 weeks. He was a wopping 3 lbs. 15.5 ounces. He is 2 1/2 months old and is doing spectacular! His brother is greatly missed and mourned.
