I was almost 21 years old when my son was born. My pregnancy was filled
with excitment,and morning sickness about 2-3 times every single day.At 33
weeks and 3 days my water broke. I stayed in the hospital for 4 days
constantly being injected with medications to stop my contractions and
steroids to develop his lungs. At exactly 34 weeks I was taken to the O.R.
for a c-section because my son was in the breech position. At 7:22 a.m. he
was out. Very healthy, and big for being 6 weeks early. Weighing 5lbs 14
1/2 oz, and 18 in. long. I stayed in the hospital 4 more days and my son
stayed for 13 days. He only had to be on a little oxygen after he was home
due to high altitude, but only for 1 1/2 weeks. Now he is a very healthy 4
1/2 month old weighing as much as most 6 month olds at over 16 lbs. He
probably would have weighed over 9 lbs if he went to term. I am so proud
of my big little boy.
