Macy
After being told we would never have children, our miracle child, Macy,
was born at 25 weeks, weighing only 1 pound and 11" long. When she
was 2 weeks old, she developed sepsis from a PICC line. Her
kidneys shut down and she swelled to twice her size. We were told
she would die within hours. By God's grace, she pulled through. She
developed Retinopathy of Prematurity at 2 1/2 months and lost sight in
her left eye and is legally blind in her right eye. We just feel
blessed that she is in our lives and feel this is a minor stepping
stone. After 90 days on a ventilator and 5 months in the hospital
Macy came home!! She is now 14 months old and weighs 15 lbs....and
is doing great!!
